This policy explains what personal information Apparel Printing Industries Pty Ltd (ABN 59 648 591 806), trading as The Tshirt Mill, collects through thetshirtmill.com.au, the affiliate stores and fundraising campaigns we host, email, phone and our shop at 11 Maud Street, Newstead QLD 4006, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Last updated: [date you publish].

1. What we collect

• Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, company name, and your login details.
• Order details: what you ordered, sizes and colours, the artwork and designs you upload or save, notes you give us, and your order history.
• Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal and Afterpay. We see the payment method, the last four digits of a card and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store your full card number.
• Communications: emails, chats and calls with our team, support tickets, quote requests and reviews you leave.
• Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you reached the site, collected through cookies and similar tools (section 6).
• Affiliate stores and fundraising: if you run a store or campaign, your payout details (your PayPal email) and your sales reports. If you buy from a store on our platform, the store owner can see the order details they need to track their sales and commissions. Your payment details are never shared with them.

2. How we collect it

Most of it comes directly from you, when you create an account, place an order, request a quote, upload artwork, sign up to our emails, contact us or visit the shop. Some is collected automatically by cookies and tracking tools when you use the website. Payment providers tell us whether a payment went through, and carriers tell us where your parcel is.

3. Why we use it

• To make and deliver your order, take payment and keep you informed about it.
• To answer your questions and handle reprints, returns and complaints.
• To run your account, saved designs, affiliate store or fundraising campaign.
• To send you marketing emails and SMS if you have opted in (section 5).
• To understand how the website is used, measure our advertising and prevent fraud.
• To meet our legal obligations, including tax and consumer law record-keeping.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run the business, with:

• DecoNetwork, the platform our website, online designer and affiliate stores run on.
• Stripe, PayPal and Afterpay, to process payments.
• Australia Post, StarTrack and Team Global Express (TGE), to deliver your order.
• Klaviyo, for email and SMS marketing, and Zendesk, for customer support.
• Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Triple Whale and TrueROAS, for analytics and advertising measurement.
• Microsoft Clarity, for session recordings and heatmaps that show us how the site is used, and Varify and Zoho PageSense, for testing changes to the site.
• Instant, which helps us recognise returning visitors and follow up abandoned carts.
• Elfsight, which displays our Google reviews on the site.
• Our professional advisers, and government agencies where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Marketing and your choices

We send marketing emails and SMS only to people who have ticked the box to receive them or signed up to our newsletter. Every message includes an unsubscribe link or STOP instruction. You can also email sales@thetshirtmill.com.au and we will remove you within 5 business days. Emails about your order or account (confirmations, shipping updates, replies to your questions) are not marketing and continue for as long as you have an order or account with us.

6. Cookies and tracking

The website uses cookies and tracking pixels from DecoNetwork, Google, Meta, Klaviyo, Triple Whale, TrueROAS, Microsoft Clarity, Instant, Varify and Zoho PageSense. They keep items in your cart, remember your login, measure how the site and our advertising perform, record how visitors move around the pages, test changes to the site, and let us show relevant ads on other websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and login need essential cookies to work. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings and Meta's Ad Preferences.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers in section 4 store information outside Australia, mainly in the United States (Stripe, PayPal, Klaviyo, Zendesk, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Triple Whale) and in some cases Europe. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including relying on the privacy commitments in their contracts with us.

8. Security and retention

Your information is stored on DecoNetwork's systems and those of the providers above, with access limited to staff who need it to do their job. Payment details are encrypted and handled by the payment provider. We keep order records for at least seven years for tax and consumer law purposes, and we keep your uploaded artwork while your account is active so you can reorder. When information is no longer needed we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

9. Access and correction

You can see and update most of your details by logging in to your account. For anything else, or to close your account and have your information removed, email sales@thetshirtmill.com.au. We will confirm your identity first and respond within 30 days.

10. Children

We sell youth and baby sizes, but we sell to adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without a parent's or guardian's involvement.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email sales@thetshirtmill.com.au or write to Apparel Printing Industries Pty Ltd, 11 Maud Street, Newstead QLD 4006. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
